T.O.N.E. U.P. Membership
Becoming a member of T.O.N.E. U.P. means joining a collective that is committed to advancing leadership, personal development, and the broader goal of building a more inclusive democracy. As a member, you have access to resources, specialized training, mentorship, and the chance to engage directly in transformative community activities.
T.O.N.E. U.P., founded by justice-impacted Black and Brown community members, offers a unique perspective on re-entry and empowerment. This membership gives you the opportunity to connect with individuals who truly understand your journey, fostering solidarity and mutual support.
Membership Levels:
Supporter Member
Who they are: Individuals or organizations who align with T.O.N.E. U.P.'s mission of resourcing and empowering justice-impacted communities. Supporter members may not be involved in day-to-day activities but stay connected with T.O.N.E. U.P. throughout the year.
Benefits: Supporter members stay informed about T.O.N.E. U.P.'s efforts through regular updates and event invitations, enabling them to contribute through advocacy, social sharing, and other forms of indirect support.
Example Engagement: Attending the Fourth Annual Freedom Anniversary Celebration or receiving updates on the latest political education sessions.
Donor Member
Who they are: Donors are individuals or organizations that actively contribute through financial donations or in-kind resources, such as space, software, or services that support the organization's operations.
Benefits: Donor members help sustain the vital work T.O.N.E. U.P. does, such as organizing voter engagement initiatives like "From the Block to the Ballot." They receive exclusive opportunities to participate in events, see firsthand the impact of their contributions, and receive special recognition.
Example Engagement: Sponsoring a political education event or contributing to the development of key initiatives like the GOTV program.
Active Member
Who they are: Active members are those who engage more deeply with T.O.N.E. U.P.'s day-to-day activities. They participate in volunteer opportunities, attend specialized trainings, and take part in community organizing efforts such as "The Follow Up" and other leadership development programs.
Benefits: Active members gain skills through workshops, access leadership development tools, and play a direct role in organizing, participating in events like voter engagement launches, and building capacity for civic involvement. These members are integral to the T.O.N.E. U.P. movement, as they embody the organization's commitment to creating systemic change from within.
Example Engagement: Leading voter education sessions, volunteering at community events, or assisting with interactive political education simulations.
