What we do

From the Block to the Ballot is a non-partisan volunteer program focused on encouraging justice impacted, eligible voters to participate in upcoming elections.

About the Program

This non-partisan, get-out-the vote initiative centers empathy and prioritizes safety & privacy. We understand that this is larger than casting a ballot. It takes courage and strength to re-engage with the political process after being removed from it. Our approach ensures that the newly re-enfranchised population feels valued, heard, and empowered in their journey towards civic engagement. From the Block to the Ballot (B2B) works to strengthen our democracy and to create a more inclusive and just society for all. Read the 2023 B2B report to learn more about our reach.

T.O.N.E. U.P. partners with the Wanton Injustice Legal Detail (WILD) and the Minnesota Justice Research Center (MNJRC) who provide volunteer coordination support and research and evaluation of the B2B process and impact. Read the most recent MNJRC report and learn more about our effective model.

How to get involved

Each election year we will execute a non-partisan volunteer program focused on encouraging justice impacted, eligible voters to participate in the upcoming election.

In 2024, we will be focusing on getting-out-the-vote for the Presidential election on November 5, 2024.

Volunteer sign ups will be available in the spring of 2024 to phone bank, canvass, or provide election-day support. Interested in getting more involved with TONE UP? Email us at info@toneup.org.
