T.O.N.E. U.P.

Re-entry Support for Formerly Incarcerated Minnesotans.

About T.O.N.E. U.P.

T.O.N.E. U.P. stands for Teaching Ourselves New Examples to Uplift People. We are a Minnesota-based re-entry organization that provides support, education, and leadership development for formerly incarcerated individuals seeking to rebuild their lives.

Founded by Antonio Williams, a visionary leader and justice-impacted changemaker, T.O.N.E. U.P. is rooted in lived experience. We understand that re-entry is more than paperwork—it’s a personal, emotional, and systemic journey. That’s why our programs address the real barriers people face after incarceration: access to housing, employment, legal relief, mental health, and community belonging.

Our Re-entry Support Services

Through programs like the Liberation of Leaders Fellowship, Clean Slate Act navigation, and our From the Block 2 the Ballot initiative, we guide participants toward healing-centered success. We believe in second chances—and in building systems that uplift rather than punish.

T.O.N.E. U.P. is one of the fastest-growing re-entry organizations in Minnesota because we lead with love, accountability, and action. Our team includes justice-impacted staff, dedicated volunteers, and community partners who are committed to transforming the future of re-entry—one life at a time.

Minnesota’s Clean Slate Law

For many Minnesotans, a past conviction—no matter how long ago—can still be a major barrier to employment, housing, education, and even professional licenses. The Clean Slate Act is designed to change that.
